Design 2704 138 Motoryacht

This trideck motoryacht was designed as a shallow water Bahamas capable cruiser. She has several unique features particular to her owners requirements. The boat is designed for 9 in crew. Of these there are private cabins for the captain, first mate, engineer, chef and chief stewardess. This reflects the owners long standing employment of his crew and his respect for their privacy and standard of living aboard.

The boat is designed to carry a large tender: a 30 Osprey. The objective is to take this boat off for fishing or diving expeditions during the day and catch up to the mother ship later. Due to the weight and frequency of use we opted for a couple of davit cranes. The boat deck bulwark folds down to facilitate loading and offloading.

Other details of note: There are accommodations below for 4 in the owners party. The forward guest stateroom is convertible to a full beam VIP cabin with seating area and "his" and "her" toilet rooms, one with bathtub. The large space on the main deck, normally reserved for the full beam owners stateroom was instead designed for a generous family room. This room includes convertible settees/berths to create a nice bunk room for the grand children.

Here are the plans.

The owner wanted an open air sky lounge so that when the tender was offloaded the boat deck would be a large open space for teak deck furniture and allow for a nice lounge that is protected from the sun. Heres a rendering of the open air sky lounge.
